A couple weekends ago we decided to pack up the car and take a day trip to the Lake Michigan shoreline. We thought it would be fun to spend the day in Ludington. Seeing as we had yet to visit. We have a list, of michigan places to visit, you know.
Naturally, we spent a lot of our time exploring the beautiful beach there. And of course, we had to walk the pier in order to get the lighthouse at the end. If you ever get a chance to visit, you can pay a small fee and climb to the top for a better view. Personally, I am little claustrophobic....so I passed on that opportunity.
The town has a lot of quaint architecture. And that is one thing that we really enjoy about exploring new cities and towns. Just walking around and taking in all the buildings. I actually would rather do that than a lot of planned activities when we visit new places.
So, make sure to wander around downtown and along the streets if you enjoy that kind of thing too.
We ate at a cute little place downtown called The Blu Moon. And I ordered a BLT. Normally, this would be a pretty boring choice. I agree. But, this was a BLT upgrade. We are talking unique flavors that really made it the best BLT I have ever had. So, there's that.
We ended the day with a walk down by the marina. It opens up to some beautiful park areas.
A really lovely place to watch the sun set on another michigan summer day.
It was a pleasure to finally visit, Ludington.
